I always used to do this! When, I had a yard.. and a car. I even would just re-lock so it would beep. I am also super aware of noises and lived in a very exposed, very isolated & windy beach town, so I heard lots of noises. I was basically saying “hey fuckers! I hearrrrrr you!”
2x there was an actual person out there.. which was pretty scary. So I beeped then called 911.
