That’s an interesting quote but unfortunately, it’s just false.
Regarding the universe is all there ever was:
Modern cosmology has proven that the universe has not existed eternally but had a beginning point about 14 billion years ago : ) of all of Sagans timeless quotations, this is not one of them.
