Anyone remember Frogger? I played this for hoooooours approx 1984!
New York City in 1911
How delightful is this old film of New York City in the year 1911. My kids and I just watched this in amazement.
Slowed down footage to a natural rate and added in sound for ambiance. This film was taken by the Swedish company Svenska Biografteatern on a trip to America.
Automatic Adding Machine (1950s)
Completely in love with this Automatic Adding Machine from the 1950s! Long live analog!
Earthrise
Earthrise tells the story of the first image captured of the Earth from space in 1968. Told through the voices of the Apollo 8 astronauts themselves, the film recounts their experiences and memories and explores the beauty, awe, and grandeur of the Earth against the blackness of space. Read the story here.

Conserve The Sound
Conserve the Sound« is an online museum for vanishing and endangered sounds. The sound of a dial telephone, a walkman, a analog typewriter, a pay phone, a 56k modem, a nuclear power plant or even a cell phone keypad are partially already gone or are about to disappear from our daily life. Love this!

These photographs by Irving Penn of “Small Trades” are simply beautiful.
Mac OS Archives
Oh the memories: A collection of early Apple Computer User Interfaces.
How Spiders Fly
A 1909 animation on how spiders take to the air is a charming dip into the history of science. Stop motion has come a LONG way!
This Desk!
This desk, titled “Boomerang”, from 1970s totally stopped me in my tracks. What an incredible piece. Also, $85,000.
Making the New York Times
In September 1942, Office of War Information photographer Marjory Collins paid a visit to the offices of the New York Times, located at the iconic One Times Square and an annex on 43rd Street. Click through to see them all. Beautiful!
The Original Mac OS Control Panel
I remember the day my dad brought home our fist Mac. I was 11. Looking back now, the first control panel was a thing of beauty. Still cracking up over the turtle and bunny in the keyboard typing speed setting.
Anyone remember the game Frogger? I plaid for hours on end.
Record Player P1
A thing of beauty, the Dieter Rams designed Record Player P1 from 1959.
The Early Days of The Internet
An exhibition in London gathers 64 artifacts of the early web, from the first site that allowed users to order pizza online to one of the first animated GIFs to go viral. I wish I could see this!
Vogue x Tattly
Tattly partnered with Vogue Magazine. I keep giggling every time I mention those two brands together. It’s making my heart explode a little bit. It doesn’t escape me that it is an absolute privilege for a young company like Tattly to collaborate with an esteemed and trusted brand like Vogue! I remember sitting in their conference room, a few months back, overlooking lower Manhattan and thinking “is this really happening?”
And now it’s here, we launched the Vintage Vogue Collection. My team and I spent days going through their 125 year magazine archive and picked some of our favorite illustrations from the 20s, 30s and 40s.
The lady riding the zebra, which is a Vogue cover illustration is definitely the one that won my heart. But the there’s also the woman holding up a mask in the Vogue Set that keeps making me smile.
This is a limited edition collection, so get it while you can.
(My apologies to my international readers, unfortunately we are only allowed to ship within the U.S)
Oil Tank House Boat
It’s a houseboat made out of oil tank. I am weirdly intrigued by this.
I am definitely gravitating towards the absurd these days in order to distract and cope with the madness here in the U.S.
Mr. Rogers Introduces Kids to Experimental Electronic Music
Mr. Rogers Introduces Kids to Experimental Electronic Music by Bruce Haack & Esther Nelson (1968). Made me smile.
