Smoy Photocuffs are bracelets which you can decorate with your own photos. Now you can have a unique accessory to match your personality. Hooray!
I like the kids version.
(thank you spencer)
Designer Dan Clements created Wiegen, a refreshing take on the classic stroller. For more info visit worrell.com or check their Wiegen FlipBook (PDF).
Looks cool but I don’t think our little Ella would have been happy in this stroller for too long. She wanted to see out early on. But then again, every baby is different…
(Thanks Charlie)
Stripy baby slippers by kikebu.
The YiAhnBassinet converts to a chair & table and a toy bin & bookshelf (!!!!) It’s stunningly beautiful, modular, and functional. This product actually makes me want to have another baby! That’s how excited I am about this! Crazy excited! A big hat tip to the designer Chul Min Kang.
At the ICFF designboom booth, I met another ‘swiss designer gone NYC’ today, her name: Chrissy Angliker. She is as talented as she is charming. Two of her products that stuck out:
The “Peace Button” represents a small wound; a drip of what you are made of. Sewing the Button onto your clothes emphasizes a commitment to peace. All you need is love and to share with others what you are made of: – A heart of gold. Peace.
I love low beds and this platform bed, by MASH studios, made my heart jump at the ICFF today!
Also, this wallmounted office desk makes a home office a sculptural object that I wouldn’t mind looking at every day! Beautiful!
And the wallmounted shelf had me gasp. MASH studios have a new fan!
This lamp, Flying Robert, by Fabbian, is made for my husband me! (I basically met G because he carried an umbrella!)
The Grace Duo, by NYC based Silva and Jorge, seats two and is perfect for lounging with a good read. When you’re done, just put the magazine or book you were reading in the designated compartments/space. Love it!
By far my favorite kids related booth was Nume. (Even though nobody was there, hmmmm) Lovedlovedloved the simplicity of the kitchen and washing machine, made out of cardboard. WOW!
Also, love their Bed2. (Just discovered it on their site, didn’t see it at at the show)
My favorite find of the day was Loadbearing. Their shelves are a dream come true. If I could get married to a shelving system, this would be it. (No offense G!) Modular, expandable, adaptable. Brilliant!
I can not even tell you how excited I was to see all the beautiful Perch products up close after having seen them on all the blogs. Some of my favorites:

“zooey”, pendant light
Amazing to know that all their products are handmade in brooklyn new york!
This raindrop necklace by Nahoko Koyama had me chuckle. Fun!
Today was my first day at the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) here in NYC and I don’t think I’ll be able to go to sleep tonight. I am completely wired from all the amazing designs I’ve seen. One of the items that had me literally bounce (with Ella on my arm nonetheless) was the Roller Buggy. A multi functional baby carriage transformable into a scooter. Oh Ella, how much fun we both could have with this!

Yikes. Skype teamed up with Wal-Mart? Amazing how unbelievably uncool Skype has gotten with this move, at least in my book. Dissapointing.
ParkhausBerlin felt products make my heart rate go up a notch. They trigger the swissmiss “me-want-me-want-button”. Being such a big fan of their designs, I was honored to have dinner with the founder and designer Anja Witte and her assistant Randi Lockemann last night. I must have asked them about ten million questions. They told me about all the new exciting products that they are coming out with soon. (I had to swear secrecy and oh it’s killing me!) If you happen to be at the National Stationery Show this weekend, make sure to drop by their booth #3780. Their products are truly truly amazing! A hooray to felt! A hooray to parkhausberlin.de! Here are some of my favorite products:
If you want to see all of their products, download their PDF Catalogue.
Cumulus: Finally some cool kids wall decals that are a little more on the abstract side. Love it!
button eye pin, by Marco Scheidegger, a swiss designer living in Zurich. Wonderfully abstract. Oh, i want one!
