A big giant alphabet. Maybe not exactly that font, but similar concept. Or a 6ft ampersand. *Swoon*. I am all for big type. (Part of House Industries’ Letters & Ligatures show at the Subliminal Gallery in LA. The show is up until December 5th.)

The The Great Paper Caper, is the latest masterpiece by Oliver Jeffers. You can pre-order it over at Amazon right now. When Oliver was visiting in my studio a few weeks ago, he let me have flip through the book. I can’t wait to get my own copy and read it to our little Ella.

Small flat-pack instant photo frame formats images as Polaroid (with some trimming). Use a dry wipe to write a message – changing it when you change the image – an homage to the now defunct image format.
Air Lines is an art project showing worldwide airliner routes. Every single scheduled flight on any given day is reresented by a fine line from it’s point of origin to it’s port of destination. Thereby forming a net of thousands of lines. Hubs like JFK, FRA or DXB turn into dark knots where lines meet, lesser served local services are only are a subtle hint. The map is now available as a print. Gasp. What a perfect gift for the holidays! I want one myself! In white! In white! In white! (this is soo cool, nearly faint)
Thank you Robin Rosenthal for this minimal and beautiful ABC poster.

Wikipedia defines blogs as:
A Blog (a contraction of the term “Web log”) is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.
The Blogosphere is the collective community of all blogs. Since all blogs are on the Internet by definition, they may be seen as interconnected and socially networked. Discussions “in the Blogosphere” have been used by the media as a gauge of public opinion on various issues.
Taken from Technorati’s 2008 State of the Blogosphere.
According to the Technorati 2008 State of the Blogosphere, of the 133 million blogs the site tracks only 7.4 million have been updated in the last 120 days. (For those that don’t feel like doing the math, that’s 125.6 million abandoned or at least unloved blogs.)

MUJI is not a brand. MUJI does not make products of individuality or fashion, nor does MUJI reflect the popularity of its name in its prices. MUJI creates products with a view toward global consumption of the future. This means that we do not create products that lure customers into believing that “this is best” or “I must have this.” We would like our customers to feel the rational sense of satisfaction that comes not with “This is best,” but with “this is enough.”. “Best” becomes “enough”.
There are degrees of “enough,” however. MUJI aims to raise the standard of “enough” to the greatest extent possible. “Best” contains a faint amount of egoism and disharmony, but in “enough” we sense restraint and compromise. On the other hand, “enough” might contain a sense of resignation and a slight amount of dissatisfaction. So by raising the bar of what denotes “enough,” we cast away that resingation and slight dissatisfaction; we create a new dimension of “enough” to attain a clear and heart-felt “This is enough.” That is MUJI’s vision.
Oh, so much fun in store with this DIY Nesting Doll Set.
