Simon Sinek on CreativeMornings/Podcast

Simon Sinek’s recent CreativeMornings talk just went live on our CreativeMornings Podcast. In his talk, Simon shares insights on millennials, technology, and the importance of empathy in good leadership. We flourish when we’re seen, when our work matters, and when we connect with and understand one another. And he asks: Are you willing to do the hard work of building meaningful relationships?

How I Built This: Yves Chouinard

Enjoyed this How I Built This Episode with Patagonia founder Yves Chouinard. He started the company in 1973, to make climbing gear he couldn’t find elsewhere. Over decades of growth, he has implemented a unique philosophy about business, leadership and profit. Incredibly inspiring. Especially, the ant analogy. Have a listen.

This Song Reduces Anxiety by Up to 65 Percent

Given the upcoming US election here on Tuesday, I could most certainly use some stress reducing tunes. According to Dr. David Lewis-Hodgson of Mindlab International the above song produced a greater state of relaxation than any other music tested to date. In fact, listening to “Weightless” resulted in a striking 65 percent reduction in participants’ overall anxiety, and a 35 percent reduction in their usual physiological resting rates.

Mortified

Mortified is an event series where adults share their most embarrassing childhood artifacts (journals, letters, poems, lyrics, plays, home movies, art) on stage. Hear grown men and women confront their past with tales of their first kiss, first puff, worst prom, fights with mom, life at bible camp, worst hand job, best mall job, and reasons they deserved to marry Jon Bon Jovi. So incredibly entertaining.

Definitely subscribing to their podcast.

Attack of the Pod(cast) People
