I am a big fan of Jez Burrow’s design work. Happy to see he just launched a new site. His redesign announcement on twitter made me chuckle:
Printers Gavin Martin Associates wanted to promote their conversion to eco-friendly vegetable inks, and did so by creating a poster with a giant rabbit painstakingly created in carrots. Made me smile.

Hillman Curtis just launched his store site where one of the items he is selling is a DVD Collection beautifully packaged in a design by James Victore. It consists of Hillman’s 10 Artist Series Films and 9 Short Films. What a great gift!

Jason’s Website Finger Hold Flickr post made me laugh. This is the de facto way designers present posters. Luckily, it looks just as silly to do it with a website: Website Finger Hold by Jason Santa Maria.
This identity and branding for Melbourne based Cross Section Studio made me look. Designed by Thomas Williams of Hunt Studio.
Stefan Kanchev (1915 – 2001) was one of the most prolific graphic designers to come out of Bulgaria. He’s designed numerous book covers, posters, postcards, advertisements, forms and envelopes, post stamps, labels and packages but he’s widely recognized for his excellent logo work. He’s considered one of the best logo designers along with Saul Bass and Paul Rand.

Brooklyn Fare is my alltime new favorite supermarket just around the corner from our apartment in Boerum Hill/Downtown Brooklyn. Their coffee cups made me laugh. Thumbs up to Matteo Bologna and his team over at Mucca, well done! Oh, and by the way, Brooklyn Fare is not a chain, this is their first store. Impressive implementation of beautiful design right off the start.
