Now if this Growing Table isn’t an important looking kid’s desk, I don’t know what is. It has future CEO written all over it. The smart thing about it, you can extend the legs so the desk growths with your kiddo. Brilliant! Somebody has been using their noggin!
I am delighted to announce this week’s RSS Feed sponsor, Polarn O. Pyret. I have posted many of their stylish kid’s clothing items before, for example this Button Down Shirt or the irresistible Ladybug Onesie.
Polarn O. Pyret is Sweden’s leading and most beloved children’s wear brand, known for their love for stripes. (One of my favorite gifts to buy for little ones: Classic Stripe Moccasin.)
While PO.P has only been available in the US for a year, it’s been a Swedish household name for 34 years. The design-driven timelessness of the brand makes it possible to collect pieces for the next child or the next generation. Pattern designs have always been very important for Polarn O. Pyret. Their Landscape prints, where the print covers the entire garment, have become an annual tradition since 2005. This season they have some fun ones depicting Swedish tradition.
And of course, by being Swedish, they believe children should play outside no matter what the weather. “There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing.” So they make some of the best outerwear for children which allows them to be dry and warm and still have a blast at the park. (Check out these awesome Rain Pants!)
The Polar O. Pyret team cannot wait to meet their customers as they open their first set of stores later this year in the NY area. (swissmiss can’t wait to set foot in one of them!)
Polar O. Pyret is offering all swissmiss readers 20% off until Sunday March 14th with code SWISSPOP.
Yay for stripes! Yay for Polarn O. Pyret!
I agree with Jennifer, these children’s room rug designs by Oliver Yaphe are wonderful.
Two small cups by Isak for your everyday espresso, snacking or dipping. Adorable.
I am officially in love with Nutcase Bike Helmets. How much fun can a helmet design be? I had NO idea! The earlier posting this morning was for kid’s sizes, these here are grown-ups! Yay!
Dear Nutcase, could you please consider offering these Dot Helmets in grown-up sizes? Thank you.
The Helvetica-Onesie-Madness is getting better and better: Helveticaca. Thanks for the laugh, Royal Stuart.
Oh, look, Oliver Jeffers came out with a new book: The Heart and the Bottle. Must. Order. Now! Ella will be thrilled!
And on a sidenote: Oliver agreed to be one of our speaker’s at an upcoming CreativeMornings. How fabulous is that? I am thrilled!
Want to have a peak into Oliver’s world? Here is a great 3 min short:

Thank you @MullerBrockman for pointing out this Helvetica Onesie. Made me chuckle.
And how about this Beta Tee?
Adorable vintage inspiried Sippy Cup Set with Alphabet. Silverware Set and Lunch Sack. Cute, no?
Ever wondered how to make a four year old’s head explode: Install a Gummi Bear Chandelier in her room.
My fabulous sister Charlotte, sent our little two week old man a fabulous gift from Switzerland: Name embroidered Blankies and pacifier clip! And I just discovered that the site owners updated their website with Tilo’s name. Fun!
Thank you sis!
These White Vintage Velcro Baskets would look fab on swissmister, no?
Grey Donkey Bodysuit by Bobo Choses. Awesome.
I just received the sweetest hand-written thank you note by one of my readers, Gisela Voss, thanking me for the inspiration she’s getting out of swissmiss. With the note, came a tub filled with these Pop Arty Beads which will make our almost four year old Ella’s head explode when I show it to her tonight!
(thank you Gisela!)
Typography Mobile from Veer: Each set of characters is laser cut from recycled back card and lined with colorful press sheets from Veer’s past marketing pieces. The typeface is Clarendon modified with Baskerville ornamentation.
Pardon the surge in baby related posts, but as you can tell, I am coming out of my denial: In about 10 days we will indeed have a newborn in our house. Time to get ready!
So I just discovered this cool and unique looking baby tub for the sink. Wonder how practical it really is but it sure looks smartly designed. I love the fact that it stores flat! (Totally wouldn’t work with our square modern sinks though, I assume)
UPDATE: I purchased one of these and it works like a charm! Gets my swissmiss two thumbs up! And yes, it works in a square sink. *Love* it! And I think tiny Tilo approves as well!
I love this modern and whimsycal approach to a bottle drying rack. Not sure how practical it would be in day to day use but it sure is cool-looking and doesn’t visually take up much counter-space. Grass Roots Drying Rack.
Our little Ella Joy would fully approve of this Charlie and Lola Puzzle. Not familiar with Charlie and Lola, check them out on youtube.
